In 1998, I started looking for my biological father. First through friends and acquaintances, because they knew people in Ghana. Unfortunately, it leads to nothing. At the end of 1999, I take the plunge and contact KRO Spoorloos. In March 2002, I get a message back. They were on to something and needed additional information...
At the end of April, I had to get vaccinations to 'continue the search' in Ghana, they say. On the 2nd of May, I am in front of the camera in Amsterdam watching Derk Bolt finding my father in Ghana. On the 4th of May, I fly to Ghana and on the 5th of May I meet Daddy for the first time. When I look back, it was a rollercoaster... The changing day in my life!
